College Courses

Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Risk Management and Insurance
Designed to provide knowledge and skills training for various entry-level positions in the insurance industry. The courses include an introduction to the insurance industry, in addition to principles of property, liability, personal, and commercial insurance. Courses in this CCL program may be applied towards the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Risk Management and Insurance.

Associate in Applied Science (AAS Degree) in Risk Management and Insurance
Designed for students who are interested in gaining foundational skills in the insurance industry. Courses provide a framework of knowledge including an introduction to the insurance industry, principles of property and liability insurance, personal, and commercial insurance. The program also includes a Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Insurance Studies.

Arizona Insurance Licensing Exam
Insurance license examinations are administered by Prometric.  Prometric's website contains license candidate publications that describe Arizona insurance licensing requirements and that outline material covered on each of the examinations. The outlines show the percentage of the examination that will deal with particular topic areas.

Schedule Your Examination
You may take your exam at any Prometric test center throughout the U.S. in which insurance examinations are offered.  The fastest way to schedule your exam is to do so online with Prometric/AZ.  You will need to create your Prometric account first, before you can unlock the testing location information.  You can also schedule your exam over the phone at (800) 853-5448.  To change or cancel your testing appointment, you must contact Prometric at least 48 hours in advance or forfeit the examination fee.

Professional Designations
Earn an insurance professional designation while earning continuing education.

Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) Designation Program
An inspiring professional faculty, nine ONE-DAY courses to choose from, a curriculum that's tailored to Arizona--all these benefits make the CISR Program a truly superior education opportunity. To earn the CISR designation, you must complete any five of the nine courses and pass the five exams within three years. All CISR courses are approved for 7 hours of continuing education credit in Arizona and are available in the classroom and online. Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) Designation Program
The Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) Program has been the insurance industry's premier, proven source for practical, real-world education since 1969. According to the Producer Profile publication, commercial lines producers with the CIC designation earn 30% more than those without the designation.  The CIC Program is designed to meet the practicing insurance professionals need for technical knowledge in all areas of the insurance industry. Each institute consists of two days of intensive instruction followed by a rigorous optional examination and is approved for 16 CE Hours in Arizona. - Click Here 

Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) Designation Program
CRIS is a specialized curriculum focusing on the insurance and risk management needs of construction projects and contractors. Those who complete the program are entitled to display the CRIS certification to certify their knowledge of construction insurance and risk management and dedication to the industry. To obtain the CRIS certification, you complete 5 specialized courses on construction risks and insurance. To maintain the CRIS certification, you obtain only 7 hours of approved construction risk and insurance continuing education credit during the initial 24 months and every 12 months thereafter (generally one online course or a seminar). - Click Here
